First time to have Chianti.
Not quite sure. It has a particular smell? not a good smell but not bad either?
It is just a kind of country side smell? earthy?
A DOC wine from Trentino wine region.
Frankly speaking, I picked up this win in my Regensburg hotel and have no idea at all. Just drink it to help my jet lag.
It is mild, that is all I can remember at this moment. Sorry.
First time Shiraz.
Smell acid, but quite mild after you start. I was
surprised I finished it within couple minutes?
It is quite interested to know this Japan Sommelier link
It also seems Japan has pretty well organized association link
It is a half bottle wine, which is in good size. Not very popular in US. But
probably more propriate for Japan market.
This is actually a very good Cabnet
Mid body and very smoothy.
Having a biz trip in Japan.
Bought it from the convenient store under Shinagawa Prince hotel.
smell acid, taste kind of acid and not fruity.
Is this typical bordeaux?
Haha? from Hokkaido. I visited this place back to Dec 2002. But at that
time, no idea at all that they are making red wine there.
Said on label that it is a "median body"
It is interesting that all wines
in Japan indicate light/mid/full body on label.
Kind of acid and earthy.
Very different than the previous Merican one.
Zinfandel from Mendocino, CA. My understanding is north of Napa valley.
This zinfandel was surprising acide when start. But got a little bit tender
later.
Mild fruity. Kind of plain compare to most Zinfandel I had.
Merlot Merlot. The first time merlot. And first time to have 187 ml bottle.
Kind of acid (am I expecting too mild? ). It is very popular and cheap in Los Angeles area. So I bought a set of 187ml pack back to hotel.
I don't think I like it sincerely. Maybe Merlot is not my style. I probably like some variations which has strong characters like carbernet or zinfandel.
Anyway, nice try. Then when second day lunch, I sat in a Red Robin and saw
the wine list, I was giggling.
The dometic wine from Virginia.
65% Cabernet Sauvignon
31% Merlot
4% Cabernet Franc
Red wine from Rioja, Spain.
By 100% Tempranillo
Cheap but tasty. Fruity and light.
