2006 Rioja Crianza from El Coto

Made from Spain Tempranillo. It has quite strong oak favor.. Sort of over power since tempranillo is relatively light....

DeLorean DMC-12 from hot wheel

Accidentally found and bought this one from Walmart, while picking up gifts for kids.. Ya! Why not pick something for myself and this one suddenly came up (I actaully found something i really want couple days later in different store).

Delorean had a such rich history, not only a car used in 'back to the future', modern and full of ideology of car design, but also itself was a symbol of greed and fraud...just like recent wall street mayhem.

So brought it back to be part of my collection... Hehe.

2008 Carmenere from Sombras Del Sol

Still have to mention that the merlot from Sombras Del Sol is still one of the best merlot I tried.... This Carmenere from the same vintage is not bad too.... But I think is lighter than what Carmenere should be...

Hefe-Weissbier from Franziskaner

A little light.. I should say it is lighter than my expected and most hefe-weisserbier I tried... And the change of taste due to temperature variation is significant among thr hefe-weiss I ever had so far.

2007 Merlot from Pollak Vineyards

From Monticello, Virginia... I like it. One of the Virginia wines (hope not the only one) which I think can compete on general wine market.

Chrysler Sebring Convertible...

My wife said "gee I didn't experience a convertible until like graduate school age... But these kids had it now?"

We got a nice "upgrade" from mid class to convertible at Key West. Nothing can complain, really, other than the too small luggage compartment..

Steering, horse power, fuel consumption all seem fine for me.. Cannot recall why last time I had a mustang convertible (that is like almost 10 years ago) gave me some cranky awkward impression.

Kids loved it and refused to put on the top.. Even it is at night or dripping weather ... hehe

From my HTC

Boeing 737-700, ATL to Key West

A nice flight to conch republic... But kids drove us crazy...

The southernmost and Hemingway's house are most see... But remainings are so so... It is nice under single/couple setting. But for family, it is more a experiencing journey rather than a truely relaxing trip.

Acura Integra

Accidentally met this 91/92 model integra. It is eaxctly the same model, color and trim as my first car - the first car I have ever bought. I drove it almost 2 years, went around mid west and later Texas. Put a lot of mileage on it and have great memory. 1.8 liter Vtec engine. Powerful, smoothy, and spacy. Steering is agile and great for some actions. Nothing I can complain except the doggy smell left from previous owner.

I still miss it.

T-Mobile Touch Pro 2, aka HTC Rhodium

new phone new phone...

I finally got a new phone after losing MDA and then took CHT9000 as the temporary replacement
Wooops, I should not say CHT9000 is a replacement, even that was the initial intention.
CHT9000 runs so well that pretty much does whatever I asked it to do.. So, I lost the intention and kept using it until recent.

I was playing around internet and noticed that on auction site (everyone knows what it is), there are quite some good deals for newer phone. After checking around, I still stay with HTC (not only because it is a Taiwan company), and really not many slide form Android phones on the market yet (G1? yak... that is not sleek looking at all). iphone? sorry, I am not in the mist that paying call girl premium just because she is blonde (sound irrelevant). Anyway, I managed to get one (slightly used) with less than 200 bucks. That is even less than what it is asking with two years contract!

So, I was relatively surprised by the progess it had since wm6. it has been a huge leap from CHT9000, not even comparable to MDA. Want to mention I started using the smartphone from the first generation - the "VisorPhone", a springboard module for Headspring Visor??? sadly I lost it on the flight, otherwise it will be such a nice antique decoration ..

If you manage it well, it can run on CDMA (sprint and Verizon) or GSM(T-mobile and AT&T). Did I mention that CHT9000 worked perfectly on Japan, even better than in US territory because it switched to HSDPA by itself? It does hotspot. It has GPS with geo-tag camera. Whatever, it has too much features that I even don't want to use. And don't tell me you want to use it for games or social network... screw, it is for productivity.

Anyway, I am pleased with what it is offering, can do my job easier and faster, with some other entertainment. My wife is also impressed (she was a palm user, stuck with PDA concept and did not buy in this all-in-one pholosophy) so we ended up getting second unit. Brand new with even cheaper price!!!!! what else we can ask for??

Boeing 777-200 ATL-DTW

I will start recording the aircraft I took, on top the car I drove, since life is boring :)

a huge aircraft used between Atlanta and Detroit. I bet is the re-arrangement of delta fleet, replacing 747 to 777?.. And i loved 777 and got upgraded again this time. last time was n years ago...

Hofbrau Hefe Weizen from Hofbrau Munchen

You know what, I start to hate the way blogger handling the picture... It has its own mechanism to determine the orientation of pictures.... fine... but most of time it never gets it right and then there is no way to overrule it. This smells like google's culture. :D

anyway... that is why some pics are upside down...

The HB hefe from Hofbrau.... one of the most prestige brand from muniche...
sort of disappointed  It has all these distinct characters of bavarian hefe.. .but not as rich and refesh as Schneider...

Suzuki Forenza

I thought this would be the brother of the Suzuki Maruti Esteem I rode for 4 months in India (in fact I never drove it). Turn out it is not.... Somehow a car designed by Korean Daewoo and then rebadged by suzuki.
But anyway, the driving experience is not THAT different... .From airport to hotel, which is a 30+ miles on high way, I was scared that it will break down before reaching hotel.
Steering is not bad... it is just a transmisson is so lag behind and the engine just don't have the juice at all... So, it is like either I kill the engine or someone behind me going to smash in my back..
It is sort a spacous... but the interior is not too well designed... .maybe just I am not used to but time to time I just could not find the buttom/switch I needed.

2006 Merlot from Anakena

Another Merlot from Chile. We had its Carmenere and seems this vineyard holds its reputation well...

After we had that super cheap "popular" wine, we picked this one to see whether thiscould give us a closer experience as Sombras Del Sol (which is priced right at the ceil of cheap wine).

Sadlly, the answer is still not. But not bad thought
This Merlot do have different flavor but still quite fruity. But I think it does not have that weird combination and charisma from Sombras. Aroma is also different and good (It said to have chocolate aroma?). Its tanning and acid are slight higher than all Chile Merlot we tried.

I will not complain for the quality I got with the price I paid. It is a still decent experience.

2008 Mertlot from Frontera - Concha Y Toro

Previously, the experience of Merlot from Sambra was impressive, so bought couple more Merlots from Chile to try further.

This one is intriguing. It is marketed as one of the most popular Chile wine in United State... Urrrrr. ... firstly, the price is --- cheap. It is not only cheap but scarily cheap.. The 750ml is like 4 bucks... and 1.5L is only like 6 in costco!!... This means it is even just half price of most oridinary cheap wine (below $10 wines). Most cheap wines in US are priced between $6 to $10 and that is a range made me comfortable range!!! This is of course more a psychological factor only. There is no guarantee that wine labeled at $10 will be always better than $6, yes... But price at less than $4 !!!!!

Turned out it is NOT bad... It is slighly lighter in color. a little bit fruity but probably the least among the Chile Merlot we tried and light in aroma, tanning, acid, everything!  This means it could be a crowd pleaser. We think it is a wine that won't go wrong, since it does not have any strong characters. If at a party with a large number of quests and don't know their taste or favor (or cannot recognize a consistent one), you probably can put out this and be ease. And it is SO CHEAP that you probably have nothing to lose.

My comprehension maybe funny.. but I do see it has the right formula to because "popular" in US ... hahaha....

Hefe-Weizen Dark from Erdinger

Have to say it is not as good as Schneider Weisse. Even this is a Dark and supposed to be stronger... but its aroma and favor are both still distance away (maybe I was wrong in the begining, should get a original white?).

Blue Moon Belgium White

US locally brewed Belgium style white beer... I felt it is similar to Brussel's Hoegaagarden.
but quite fresh and CHEAP. So, not a bad deal while you want to try something in different favor.
